Between the roar and the rock records the encounter of two asynchronous instances of time. Within this encounter of fluctuating constants, the ocean and the rock are being shaped and reshaped, as a simultaneous reaffirmation and denouncement of the fleeting instance of time. Over and over again. Between the roar and the rock is a wave film reminiscent of the birth of cinema, such as Rough Sea at Dover, driven by the idea that the surf of an ocean can provide enough action to a motion picture and draw us into the beyond, into the horizon.
